Why? When? How? Have you ever asked the Lord these questions? "Why is this happening to ME? When will you make a way for ME? How are you going to work this out for ME?". All these questions, though valid concerns, have one thing in common... it screams it's all about ME!
Naturally in this earthly life we will certainly have questions, concerns, fears and uncertainties about our situations and the potential outcomes. And though we may not know the answers to the why's, when's or how's, the blessedness in it all is that we have a Father, a Savior that can be touched by the feelings of our infirmities. We bless God because He can be touched by our emotions, not only because He loves us, but because He was born a man, human, yet Divine. As we go on to know Christ, we begin to understand that life is not all about our ME or our comfort. In fact, Philippians 3:10 says...
"That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;".
As children of the Most-High God, we can rest assured that we will experience the awesomeness of His power, but understand this my dear sisters and brothers, to be a partaker of His power is to partake of His suffering. I declare to you that it is a packaged deal. The end goal is to be conformed, in a manner which is compliant, even consistent with His death. Thus, we learn how to suffer with Him as we die to ourselves daily. But through it all trust and believe that God will never leave nor forsake us. The word declares that Jesus, our advocate, is on the right hand of God interceding for us. How wonderful is His love for us? The God of all power, our risen Savior and King has prayed for and is yet praying for ME! So, when the spirit of fear or anxiety attempts to grip you and when the spirit of sadness and depression tries to consume you by flooding your mind with the questions, why, when and how, remind yourself that the suffering of this present time cannot be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us. In me and yes... in YOU!!
