As we bring Black History month to a close, I want to encourage each of you to know who you really are. If you don't know who we are as a people or as a nation, let me enlighten you...
YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR! A conqueror is winner, a ruler, a champion. It means that you are not only a winner, but more than a winner. You are not just a champion but more than a champion! God sees you as more than you could ever see yourself. He has created us in His image and His likeness. We are fearfully and wonderfully made and by the hands of the Almighty God. We are created and formed in the image of greatness, and we must know and accept who we are!
The scripture tells us in Romans 8: 35-37 "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.".
Children of God, we must remember that there is NOTHING that will separate us from God's love! He has called us and placed us in a place of righteousness, His righteousness, not of our own. Know that there is nothing that can make us less than the conquerors we were created to be. No situation or circumstance, no trial or persecution, no failure or fault, no bondage or chains, no sickness or pain can make us less than what God's divine call to greatness has already made us. I want you to remember who you are, but in order to remember who you are, we must remember what God has brought us from. Through every challenge we have overcome as a people and nation, we are still and will forever be more than conquerors through Jesus our Christ!
