Close the Door!

What does an open door represent? It’s an invitation, a welcome to those on the outside. A door is both a way in and a way out, so every door in your life can act as an entrance or an exit. We must ask ourselves these questions…

What do I want to allow to walk into the doorway of your soul? Whom or what do I want to enter my spirit and what should I allow to exit. We must think about this with the people we encounter, the things we entertain and the choices we make. With every choice there is an open door. With every conversation I partake in and with everyone I link up with, there is an open door. Remember, with everyone and everything allowed in your circle there is an open door and if you’re not careful you will give an invitation to not only undesired things but also undeserving people. We must be careful with what doors we choose to leave open. Proverbs 12:14-15 says...

"A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him. The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise."'

The word of God tells us that our mouths are doorways. What we say does determine what we allow in and what allow out of our doors. With our mouths we can invite evil or welcome good, either way we will surely eat the fruit of our mouths. However, when we hearken to the voice of the Lord and do what is pleasing to Him, we allow His ways and His wisdom to enter our doors. So, whose responsibility is it to determine how you use your door? It’s yours. I am responsible for allowing the Spirit of God to lead and guide me into all truth. With this truth He will reveal when it’s time to close the door on all that is designed to hinder me and when to open the door to all He has created to bless me. So, only you can stand guard at the doors of your heart, mind, and soul and when you see the enemy approaching be ye ready and willing to close the door!
